INTERNATIONAL STUDIES:

In May of 2002, Michael Schaffer attended an advanced art workshop in Majorca, Spain. The instructor, Leigh Hyams, was a University of California at Berkeley Art Department faculty member, as well as an internationally exhibited artist.  The workshop lasted 10 days and focused on the process of reinvigorating the artist’s inner perspective and the creative process.
